Deming’s 14 Points provide a systematic framework for organizational quality management, emphasizing continuous improvement, leadership responsibility, employee development, and process standardization. Rather than relying exclusively on final product inspections, Deming’s philosophy encourages organizations to improve the underlying systems responsible for operational performance (The W. Edwards Deming Institute, n.d.).
For Interparfums, these principles could strengthen supplier coordination, inventory management, production consistency, and cross-functional collaboration. Applying Deming’s framework would support the development of a preventive quality management culture across the company’s international operations.

Implementation and Performance Measurement
The proposed framework organizes Deming’s principles into strategic leadership, process excellence, workforce development, and enterprise collaboration. Leadership would establish consistent quality objectives, while operational teams would strengthen supplier evaluations, employee training, and standardized procedures.
Performance could be evaluated through supplier on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, production defect rates, and fulfillment cycle times. These measures would support continuous monitoring of operational improvements.
The Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) cycle would provide a recurring process for testing improvements, evaluating results, and standardizing successful practices. This approach aligns with Deming’s emphasis on improving organizational systems rather than relying exclusively on individual performance measures (The W. Edwards Deming Institute, n.d.).
BIA Recommendation: Interparfums should implement a cross-functional quality governance program supported by standardized KPIs, quarterly performance reviews, supplier scorecards, and employee development initiatives. Integrating these measures into Power BI would provide management with consistent visibility into quality performance and improvement opportunities.
